Day 01: Cochin (Arrival) :
Arrival at Cochin Airport. The vehicle to the hotel departs from Cochin Airport at 1200 hrs. Guests are requested to time their flights as per this schedule to avail the complimentary transfers or else they may opt for the add-on transfers on extra payment basis. Reach your hotel. Check in and freshen up. Day at Leisure,. Overnight in Cochin
Day 02: Cochin - Munnar (140 KMS/4 Hrs Drive) :
After breakfast enjoy City tour of Cochin - Visit the Mattancherry Dutch Palace - (closed on Fridays and public holidays), which was built by the Portuguese in 1555 and renovated by the Dutch in 1663. Visit the Jewish Synagogue (closed on all Saturdays and Jewish holidays) in Jew Town and Fort Cochin Area. There are a couple of streets of picture-postcard houses out of another age. Visit St. Francis Church - (closed on Sundays from 08.00 to 11.00 hrs) the oldest European Church in India. It has several antiquities including a wealth of records. See the Chinese Fishing Nets, along the tip of Fort Cochin unique to this part of Kerala and living symbols of a centuries-old Chinese influence on this coast. Later to transfer to Munnar. Munnar is 1800 mts. above sea level and also the place of South India's highest peak (Anamudi-2695 mts). Have a short visit at Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 03: Munnar :
After breakfast, go for a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Enjoy the serene views which Munnar offers owing to its famous tea plantations. We see Maduppatty Dam, Echo Point, Kundalay Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, Blossom Park, and visit either one of the 2 attractions: Tea Museum or Eravikulam National Park (This is decided on ground as per the availability and rush). Tea Museum (Monday Closed) – offers Informative and enjoyable session of around 01 hr on history Tea plantations, factory, and the important role of tea in Munnar. Followed by Various stages of tea processing can be seen, which includes the making of black tea and a tea tasting session and shopping OR Eravikulam National Park (Eravikulam National Park is shut around Jan to April; during these dates Park visits cannot be done but all other sightseeing tours shall be provided as per the itinerary). The National Park has rich flora and fauna of the region.
Day 04: Munnar - Thekkady (120 kms/4 hrs drive) :
Today after breakfast depart for Thekkady by road. Arrive Thekkady and transfer to hotel. Lying at an altitude of 700-1900m above sea level, Periyar has a cool and comfortable climate. In the afternoon, guests are at leisure. The town also houses one of world’s most fascinating natural wildlife sanctuaries. 1500 Hrs - Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary where you can do wildlife safari on boat over Lake Periyar. The Park encompasses 26 sq. km. of artificial lake take a boat ride on the lake to view wild life and water birds. Herds of elephants and bison come to the lake to drink water. Guests May Opt to explore the neighboring Spice Market for shopping fresh spices or use the hotel travel desk to explore multiple activity of the destination. 1800 Hrs – Martial Art Show witness the Kalaripayattu Martial Art Show for 1 hr. [Complimentary] – an ancient South Indian martial art and one of the oldest fighting systems in existence today. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Thekkady – Alleppey / Kumarakom (120 Kms / 04 Hrs) :
Morning after breakfast, we depart for Kumarakom/Alleppey by road. You May opt to Later Cruise on serene water of Lake. Check into the hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06: Alleppey/Kumarakom - Cochin (Tour Ends) :
Morning have breakfast at resort later check out Hotel and drive to Airport / Railway Station for departure. The vehicle to the Airport departs to Cochin Airport at 1000 hrs.
